How these numbers work
- Every business currently for sale on StartExus is included: reviewed listings and businesses found for sale around the web.
- Prices are what sellers are asking, not what businesses sold for.
- Revenue figures are as sellers reported them. Some reviewed listings carry a verified-revenue badge; businesses found around the web are never verified.
- The revenue multiple is asking price divided by twelve months of reported monthly revenue, only where both are given.
- Medians, not averages, so one very large or very small deal doesn't skew a type.
